It took its final shape in 1766 after a major overhaul by François-Henri Clicquot. However, in the nineteenth century, the instrument did not escape major renovations. In 1892, the Merklin company completed a new organ, using some of the old pipework and the organ case. The organ was dedicated on January 19, 1893.
