Stockholm's Roman Catholic Cathedral is dedicated to Saint Erik. The building was built in the years 1890-1892 and was designed by the architect A. Gillberg. The firm of Åkerman & Lund supplied the organ, which was completed in 1891. In 1910, the same firm expanded it to thirteen stops. In 1978 the Jacoby company expanded the organ further to seventeen stops and finally the organ was radically rebuilt in 1989 and expanded in 1991 with six pedal stops by the Künkel company. The organ has electro-pneumatic action since 1978. Both manuals are in a joint swell box.
