In 1897 the Merklin company built an organ with one manual and an independent pedal for the Église Notre-Dame in Cluny. The organ was overhauled in 1965 by Philippe Hartmann. More than twenty years later, in 1987, he renovated and expanded it into a two-manual organ with seventeen registers. Lucien Simon carried out major maintenance in 1997.
