The organ contains older material: Organ case from 1707 by Bialdo Covlere
In the choir of Ljubljana Cathedral, two Baroque organ cases are arranged symmetrically. It is believed that it was the Italian Bialdo Covlere, who manufactured those cases in 1707. The organ case on the epistle side was empty for many years. In 1996 the company Škovijska Orglarska Delavnica built a new organ in the case. The organ of Petar Nakic from 1762 in the Franciscus Church in Sibenik (Croatia) served as the model for the design, which is a important specimen of Venetian organ architecture.
