The organ of Sankt Jakobskirche in Pfullendorf was originally built in 1807 for the Augusteiner Stiftskirche in Beuron. The beautiful carving was made by a Benedictine monk from the Danube valley. In 1974 Winfried Albiez built a new organ behind the prospect with three manuals and pedal. It was inaugurated on December 1, 1974, the Sunday of the first Advent. The concert at the inauguration was given by Konrad Philipp Schuba, organist of the Münster in Konstanz. The organ was cleaned in 2010 and major maintenance was carried out by Mühleisen Orgelbau.
