1727 Gottfried Silbermann  new organ
1836 Gottlob Gottleuber  rebuild

  • Gottfried Silbermann built an organ for the Petrikirche in Rochlitz in the years 1726-1727. The instrument was inspected on July 18, 1727 by Church organist Theodor Gerlach, and entered service on July 20, 1727.
  • The organ was converted in 1836 by Gottlob Gottleuber. He replaced several stops with others, namely Tertia and Vox Humana of the Hauptwerk by Bordun 16' and Viola di Gamba 8', and Quinta en Sufflaute of the Oberwerk by Salicional 8' and Piffaro 8'. The pedal was extended with a Subbaß 16' and an Octavbaß 8'.
  • In 1894 the organ was demolished and replaced by a new instrument, built by the local organ builder Paul Schmeisser.
