  • As a replacement for an earlier church, a new church was built in Boekhoute in 1868, which was inaugurated on September 21 of that year. There was an organ in the previous church as early as 1657. Jean-Baptiste Forceville worked on this instrument in 1682. This old instrument wasn't relocated to the new church.
  • The church building was largely destroyed during acts of war in 1944. The organ was lost. After the Second World War the church was rebuilt and fitted with a new organ by the firm Jos. Loncke & Zn. It is an electro-pneumatic instrument with thirty stops. The dedication took place on Sunday December 27, 1959 by Z.E.H. Puylaert, Dean in Assenede.
