- The organ of the Lukaskirche in Berlin-Steglitz was originally a work by Furtwängler & Hammer from 1919, built for the church that was also completed that year. Church and organ were inaugurated on September 21, 1919. The church was damaged in World War II, but the organ remained intact.
- The instrument was restored in 1964-1965 by Dieter Nöske. In fact, he rebuilt the organ with a more contemporary stop list and behind a new facade. Many stops have been replaced or renewed. The organ was overhauled in 1987. In addition, some modifications were made. Some of the stops from 1965 were replaced by new, more romantic ones.
- The organ was restored in 2006-2007 by Otto Paschen under consultancy of Markus Epp. An attempt was made to restore the tonal character of the original 1919-instrument. The pipework of the 1930 Furtwängler & Hammer organ from the Gemeindesaal of the Markuskirche, which had been out of use for a long time, could be used. On September 1st, 2007, the organ was put back into use, played by cantor organist Markus Epp. In October 2007 Paschen installed a new Trompete on the Hauptwerk.
- In 2019, Christian Scheffler restored the organ. He constructed a new prospect, in style of the original one.
