De rooms-katholieke Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche in Binningen is gebouwd in 1896. Het eerste orgel werd in datzelfde jaar geplaatst. Dit instrument is in 1966 vervangen door een geheel nieuw orgel van de firma Kuhn, met drie manualen en pedaal. Op 20 maart 1966 is het orgel in gebruik genomen. Tijdens een restauratie van het kerkgebouw in 1990-1991, waarbij het interieur grotendeels is vernieuwd, is het orgel door Armin Hauser herbouwd. Er werd een nieuwe speeltafel geplaatst. De electro-pneumatische registertractuur werd verwijderd, en het orgel werd geheel mechanisch gemaakt. De dispositie is ook gewijzigd, en veel registers kregen nieuwe namen. Tenslotte heeft Hauser het orgel opnieuw geïntoneerd.
In 2009 raakte het orgel beschadigd door een brand in de kerk. Het is daarna door Armin Hauser herbouwd. Er zijn ook enkele dispositiewijzigingen uitgevoerd. Verder zijn de pedaaltorens hoger geplaatst en werd nieuw maaswerk aangebracht. Adviseur bij de werkzaamheden was Theo Ettlin.
