Alfred Kern bouwde in de jaren 1979-1983 een nieuw orgel voor de Theodorkirche in Basel. Het is geplaatst in de orgelkas van Jakob Zimmermann uit 1917. Van het Zimmermann-orgel werd ook een deel van het pijpwerk overgenomen.
