Year | Builder | Opus | Activity | 1740 | Johann Ernst Hähnel | new organ | 1907 | Julius Jahn & Sohn | new organ in old case | 1938 | Jehmlich Orgelbau | restoration | 2006 | Groß Orgelbau | new organ in old case |
- In 1737-1740 Johann Ernst Hähnel built an organ for the church of Brockwitz. The instrument had eighteen stops. At that time, the church was redesigned in the Baroque style, and the organ was also given a Baroque case. It was completed in 1740.
- Around 1900, the organ was in unplayable condition. The company Julius Jahn & Sohn built a new instrument in the historic case, which was completed in 1907. The old prospect pipes remained in the front, but these were eventually removed as war metal in 1917. In 1937/1938 Jehmlich carried out a restoration. They installed a new console, new prospect pipes and repaired the machine heads.
- In 2006 the company Groß was commissioned to build a new organ in the old organ case. The starting point for the design was the original Hähnel concept. Two pedal stops have been taken from the Jahn organ from 1907. The instrument was inaugurated on October 31, 2006.
