The Merklin company placed an organ in 1900 at the World Exhibition in Paris. This organ was after the exhibition dismantled and stored. In 1903 Merklin installed the instrument in the Église Sainte-Eugénie in Biarritz. It was dedicated on October 18, 1903. Jeanne Paris played the organ at this occasion. She was also appointed permanent organist of the church, a position she held until 1957. Maurice Puget carried out a restoration in 1950. The pneumatic action was electrified in 1962 by the Organería Española. Robert Chauvin worked on the organ in 1965/1966. He replaced various stops by new, more classical stops.
