The organ of the cathedral in Uzès was built after 1663, probably around 1670. The builder is unknown. The organ was rebuilt in 1770, but no details are known about this rebuilding. The instrument now had 34 stops. Joseph Callinet worked on the organ in 1844. He increased the pedal size to 25 tones and replaced a number of registers with new ones. In the course of time, the organ fell seriously into disrepair. It was eventually restored by Alfred Kern in the years 1964-1969 under the advice of Alexandre Cellier.
