The Katharinenkirche in Zwickau is a former monastery church of a nunnery. In the years 1517-1525 the building was converted for the Protestant religion. In 1894 the organ of the church was rebuilt by the firm of Jehmlich and expanded with sixteen stops. This organ was replaced in 1927-1928 by a new Jehmlich organ with 56 registers. The Jehmlich firm built a new organ with nineteen stops in 1967.
