  • Nicolaes Le Royer (II) built an organ for the Sint Martinus church in Lede in 1642-1643. The organ case was made by Jan Suetincs. It was a two-manual organ without a pedal, with possibly eighteen registers. Lambertus Benoit Van Peteghem rebuilt and expanded the organ in 1775-1781. The case was widened with side fields. Furthermore, an attached pedal was placed. The Positive was set up in a small shallow case, on which the seat for the organist was also realized.
  • The organ was rebuilt in 1951-1952 by the company Jos. Loncke & Zn. under the advice of Gabriel Verschraegen. It was radically modified, resulting in a much larger two-manual organ with electro-pneumatic action. A third work, the so-called 'Auxiliary Work', had no manual of its own. The renewed instrument was dedicated on September 14, 1952.
  • Plans for a restoration and reconstruction to 1781 were made from 1998. The work was ultimately carried out in 2019-2022 by Jan Lapon. The 1781 disposition and technical arrangement has been restored, with the addition of a seven-stop independent pedal.
