  • The first organ in the Christ Nativity Chapel in the Loreta Monastery in Prague was built in 1717-1718 by the Prague organ builder Leopold Spiegel. The organ was rebuilt in 1738 and expanded by Franz Katzer and Caspar Weltzer to renew the interior of the church in Baroque style. Josef Helwig was thought to be the builder for a long time, but research has shown that this is incorrect.
  • The instrument was preserved quite well, but was rebuilt in 1977 by the organ maker Igra with pneumatic chests and the pipework was partly replaced by new, it was given a different intonation and the wind supply was adjusted. All changes were undone during a major restoration by Vladimir Šlajch, which lasted from 1983 to 1992. Approximately 95% of the pipe work and the entire action is original.
