• The Chiesa di Santa Maria del Popolo in Rome is an old Augustinian church from the fifteenth century. In the years after 1655, the interior of the church was redecorated in Baroque style, according to a design by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Bernini also designed the organ case for the new organ, with the front pipes placed behind an oak tree sculpture. The old organ is no longer in use, only the prospect and a wind chest are still present.
