In 1969/1970, under consultancy of Wolfgang Wünsch and Hans Zenk, the firm Klais built a new organ for the Sankt Josefkirche in Bamberg. The instrument was dedicated on March 21, 1970. The church building was dedicated six months before, on September 21, 1969. The building was designed by Adam Jakob. A small temporary organ was installed by Klais for the first six months.
