The choir organ of the abbey church in Engelberg was built in 1737 by Josef Anderhalden. In 1902 Friedrich Goll placed a new romantic organ with pneumatic action and cone chests behind the old front. The organ was rebuilt in 2006/2007 by the company Kuhn with slider chests and mechanical traction. Several ranks were renewed with pipes from the organ maker's stock. The renewed organ was inaugurated on May 20, 2007 with a concert by Patrick Ledergerber and Alessandro Valoriani.
