- Andreas Silbermann built an organ for the parish church Saints-Pierre-et-Paul of Rosheim in 1732/1733. It was built like a classical French organ, with Grand Orgue, Positif de Dos and Echo. In the middle of the nineteenth century, it was decided to modernize the organ. Because the church building was also being renovated, Joseph Stiehr dismantled the instrument in 1859.
- Hereafter the company Stiehr-Mockers re-installed the organ in a modified form in a room on the south side of the choir. The organ was no longer visible from the church. Silbermann's front and case were sold to Waldolwisheim, as were the wind chests of the manuals. Stiehr rebuilt the organ with two manuals. It was completed in June 1863.
