  • The parish church of Junglinster is a beautiful baroque church with a particularly rich interior. There is a historic organ case in the church. In 1786 the organ and the main altar of the convent of the Dominican Sisters in Marienthal were bought. According to sources in the church, the organ case dates from 1600. In 1887, Charles Wetzel from Strasbourg built a completely new organ in this case. This instrument was rebuilt in 1939 by Georges Haupt.
  • During a thorough restoration of the church building, it was decided to renew the organ. The work was carried out in 2008 to 2010 by Hugo Mayer Orgelbau. Using pipework of Wetzel and Haupt, a new mechanical organ with slider chests has been built. Windchests, mechanisms and console were made in the style of Wetzel. On November 14, 2010, the organ was inaugurated with a concert by Alain Wirth and Maurice Clement.
