- In 1889 the Walcker firm was commissioned to build a new organ for the Herz Jesukirche in Graz. The front was designed in collaboration with architect G. Hauberrisser. The organ was dedicated in 1891. It originally had two manuals and pedal with a total of 36 stops.
- The instrument was expanded by Walcker in 1941 with a positive (Rückpositiv), and enlarged to a total of 55 stops. In 1991 the firm Walcker-Mayer carried out a restoration. The positive was almost completely renewed, and a new prospect was created for this division, more in style with the main case. Also a new console was installed.
- The company Rieger Orgelbau restored the organ in 2014. All the electric parts were renewed and modernized. Rieger also improved the voicing of the pipes.
