  • On November 22, 1883, the new Evangelical Church in Hochheim was inaugurated. The Ladegast company built the organ for the new church. The village of Hochheim was added to Erfurt in 1938. The front pipes were requisitioned in 1917 and were later replaced by zinc pipes, probably by Böttger in 1926. Over time, the Gamba 8' of the second manual was placed on the first manual, instead of the Doppelflöte. A Gemshorn 8' was placed on the second manual. The Flöte 4' was replaced by an Aeoline. Later the Doublette of the Hauptwerk was replaced by a Mixtur and the Gemshorn 8' of the Oberwerk by a Flöte 4'.
  • Friedrich Löbling restored the organ in 1977. The instrument was removed from the tower and placed more forward in the organ attic. To make it fit, the organ case had to be partially renovated, as well as some parts of the action and the wind supply. Löbling also changed many stops and replaced others. He mainly used old pipes from other organs.
  • In 2002 the organ was examined by the company Rösel & Hercher. They proposed to completely reconstruct Ladegast's work. The reconstruction ultimately only started in 2023, by the Jehmlich company.
