The organ of the village church in Melzow was built in 1859 by Lang & Dinse, organ makers from Berlin. According to another source, the organ is said to have been built in 1875 by Carl Eduard Gesell. Gesell may have rebuilt the organ in that year. The organ has not been in use since circa 1960. Thanks to the efforts of some church members, a thorough restoration was carried out in 2003/2004 by Christian Scheffler. On August 14, 2004 the instrument was put back into use with a concert by Alexander Weimann.
