Gottlieb Heise built an organ for the Heilandskirche in Sacrow in 1844. It was expanded in 1907. The organ survived World War II with little damage, but was demolished by vandals in 1961, along with most of the church interior. In 2005 Kristian Wegscheider was commissioned to build a new organ, inspired by the Heise organ. The instrument is likely to be completed in 2008.
