Siegfried Schmid built an organ for the Peter-und-Paul-Kirche in Münsterhausen in 1996. The organ was put into use on October 20, 1996 with a concert by Winfried Bönig. During construction, the Rückpositiv was placed in the historic organ case that was present in the church. This case dates from around 1775, but nothing else is known about the instrument. After the construction of a new organ in 1918, the case was left empty in the balustrade.
