- Johann Adam Ehrlich built a new organ for the Oswaldkirche in Traunstein in 1856. It was a two-manual organ with 24 stops, mechanical action and cone chests. The construction of a new organ was necessary, because the church building had to be largely rebuilt after a large fire in the city on April 25, 1851. The instrument was rebuilt and enlarged in 1929 by Willibald Siemann. The organ since then had 35 stops and pneumatic action.
- In 1977, Günter Ismayr built a new organ in the Ehrlich organ case of 1856. This organ has three manuals and 32 stops. Only fourteen new stops were manufactured by Ismayr. The rest is taken from the old organ, or from other organs. The instrument has mechanical action, except for the pedal, that has electric action.
- In 2001 the planning for a completely new organ started. The organ, which is presented as the "Papst-Benedikt-Orgelwerk", was not built before 2015. In September 2015, the old instrument was dismantled. A new organ should be build by the company Klais.
