In 1853 herbouwde de firma Hill & Son het hoofdorgel van de Saint Botolphchurch in Boston. Grote delen werden nieuw gemaakt en het orgel kreeg een andere plaats binnen het kerkgebouw. Het is daarna verbouwd in 1871 door Brindley & Foster. Ingrijpender was de ombouw van 1908 door Norman & Beard, waarbij de tractuur grotendeels pneumatisch werd gemaakt. Sinds 1933 is het orgel in onderhoud bij de firma Harrison & Harrison. Zij electrificeerden het in 1940. In 1987 is het instrument gerestaureerd.
