- In 1938, the Anneessens company built a new organ in the Saint Nicholas Church in Westkapelle, using the old organ cases in the church. These were built in 1648 by Arnoud Medard. The original instrument was renewed in 1810 by Pierre Charles Van Peteghem. J. Deprez carried out work in 1909, thereby relocating the organ inside the church. The new organ was dedicated on May 29, 1938. Norbert Bogaerts played the dedication concert.
- On March 26, 2013, a fire broke out in the tower in the afternoon, causing the church building to burn out completely. The organ was lost. The building will be rebuilt, but will no longer have a church function.
