- De Ludwigskirche in Berlin-Wilmersdorf is op 29 juni 1897 ingewijd. Tegelijkertijd werd ook een tweeklaviers orgel in gebruik genomen, dat gebouwd was door de firma Gebr. Dinse. Het orgel werd oorspronkelijk gebouwd door Dinse als tentoonstellingsorgel voor de Gewerbeausstellung in Treptow, en werd na de tentoonstelling gekocht door het parochiebestuur. Het had bij de tentoonstelling een Spanische Trompete, die echter in de kerk is vervangen door een gewone Trompete. Ook werd een nieuw front gemaakt, omdat het originele front, ontworpen door Bruno Schmitz, architect van de koepelzaal in Treptow, niet mocht worden hergebruikt.
- Het orgel vertoonde veel storingen, en had ook te lijden onder de klimaatsomstandigheden binnen het kerkgebouw. In 1943 bestelde men bij Steinmeyer een nieuw orgel. Het orgel werd in dat jaar gedemonteerd en een deel van het pijpwerk verhuisde naar de werkplaats van Steinmeyer. Door de oorlog kon het nieuwe orgel echter niet worden opgeleverd, en tot 1951 gebruikte men een harmonium voor de begeleiding.
