Pollokshields Church is a Gothic Revival church, built to a design by Robert Baldie in 1877-1878. An organ was installed by Peter Conacher with two manuals and pedal. In 1913, George Dickson donated an organ to the church in memory of his wife Christina M. Fletcher. The organ case was made by H. E. Clifford. The organ was put into use on September 7, 1913. On September 27, 1913, Frederick Bridge, organist at Westminster Abbey in London, gave the first organ recital. The previous organ was bought by Harrison & Harrison. In 1930 Hill, Norman & Beard moved the console and made some minor changes. In 1984 the organ was rebuilt by Harrison & Harrison with electro-pneumatic action. No changes have been made to the pipework or the stop list.
