- The church of Saint Alphonse in Luxemburg was dedicated in 1858. It was a church of the brothers Capuchins. The firm Breidenfeld of Trier installed a two manual organ in 1867, with 27 stops. Adviser was Heinrich Oberhoffer, then organist of the cathedral of Luxemburg. Ferdinand Kauffeld constructed the organ case in new gothic style.
- The current organ was built in 1922-1923 by Georg Stahlhuth & Sohn, with three manuals. It was installed in the case of 1867. On March 11, 1923 the organ was dedicated. The original console has been replaced - probably in 1938 - by the old console of the cathedral organ, that was rebuild in 1938.
- Georges Haupt rebuilt the organ in 1952 under supervision of Henri Bauler, organist of the church. The action was electrified and het modified the stop list. Haupt installed a new electric console. In 1963 a second console was placed on the church floor by Nikki Loewen.
