In the years 1724-1726 David Baumann built a new organ for the monastery church of the Damenstift in Heiligengrabe. The instrument had two manuals, while the pedal was attached to the Hauptwerk. The pedal was made independent in the nineteenth century. The stoplist was also changed somewhat. In 1936 the instrument was restored to its original state. The company Alexander Schuke carried out a restoration in the years 1953-1956. A few years later, new reeds were installed.
