Chrysostomus Bauer built an organ for the Heilig Kreuzkirche in Augsburg in 1730. Because he died during construction, the organ was completed by Georg Friedrich Schmahl. The interior has not been preserved. The Steinmeyer company replaced this in 1908 with a new pneumatic organ. The organ was modified in 1959, giving the stop list a more baroque character.
Richard Rensch built a new three-manual organ with 36 stops for the church in 1992. This is placed behind the historic front. There is one vacant place on the pedal chest.
