  • In the village church of Oederan an was organ built by Christoph Donati in the seventeenth century. This organ was lost during a fire on July 3, 1709. After restoration of the church building, Gottfried Silbermann was commissioned to build a new organ. On June 9, 1724, he signed the contract. Church and organ were dedicated on May 25, 1727.
  • In 1892 the organ was rebuilt by the Carl Gottlob Jehmlich. He placed a Viola di Gamba 8' at the Hauptwerk. At the Oberwerk, the Tertia and the Sufflaute were replaced by an Aeoline. The organ was also installed by him in a new organ case in neo-Gothic style. The prospect pipes were removed in 1917 and in 1927 Jehmlich placed new zinc ones. A restoration was carried out by Hermann Eule in 1937. The Tertia and Sufflaure were re-installed, the old pitch was restored and the entire organ was overhauled. In 1941 Eule expanded the instrument with a Dulzflöte 8' on the Oberwerk.
  • During a restoration by the Eule company in 1992-1993, the organ was restored to its original condition, except for the organ case. The zinc front pipes from 1927 have been replaced by new tin examples. In 1997 Eule placed a new Vox Humana, manufactured by the firma Giesecke.
