The organ contains older material: Organ case from 1784 by Adrien Rochet
Pieter van Peteghem built an organ for the Benedictine Abbey Church in Affligem in 1768. The abbey was closed in 1803 during the French period, after which the organ was transferred to the Cathédrale in Tournai. In 1865, Désiré Cordier from Mons transferred the organ to the Norbertine Abbey Church in Bonne-Espérance. It was placed here in an organ case from 1784 by Adrien Rochet. The organ has deteriorated further and further in the twentieth century. After a number of vandal damages, it was dismantled and stored in the tower space of the church.
