On March 20, 1982, a new organ was dedicated in the Sankt Peterskirche in Essen-Kettwig. It consists of two parts. The Rückpositiv is old, and was built in 1754 by Johann Wilhelm Weidtmann. It was bought from a church in Düsseldorf-Stockum. The Klais firm restored this work and expanded it with a modern designed main work and pedal case. Consultants were Josef Zimmermann, Hans Hulverscheidt and Heino Schubert.
