The organ in the church of Lauterbach has a beautiful historical prospect, built by Philipp Ernst Wegmann in 1767. This organ had 24 stops. In 1906 the interior was replaced by a new pneumatic organ from the Weigle company. The old prospect pipes were preserved, but were no longer used. The Weigle organ was rebuilt in 1952 by the same company. After this it had 31 stops, three manuals and pedal. In 1973 the instrument was replaced by a new work by the Hillebrand company. The old prospect pipes have now been reconnected again. Four stops were prepared for at the time of the dedication.
