- The organ in Saint-Pons-de-Thomières Cathedral was built in 1772 by Jean-Baptiste Micot. Remarkable about this organ is that it has withstood time without major interventions, so that it is still almost in its original condition. In 1830 the organ was extended with a Hautbois by Clavel. The company Puget & Fils carried out a restoration in 1870. It is tuned in the choral tone and with a equal temperament. Furthermore, Puget partly renewed the keyboards and the Récit was placed in a swell box.
- The instrument was partially restored in the second half of the twentieth century. First by Léopold Troseille in 1963. Then by Alain Sals in 1973. A major restoration of the entire instrument was carried out in the years 1980 to 1983 by Paul Manuel, after which the organ could be festively inaugurated again on February 4, 1983 with a concert by Francis Chapelet. A last revision took place in 2008 by Michel Formentelli.
