- The organ in the Evangelische Kirche in Meißenheim was built by Johann Andreas Silbermann according to a contract dated February 27, 1772. The instrument was inaugurated in May 1776. Silbermann placed a Principal 4' on the pedal, which was replaced by a Trumpet 8' in 1787 by Johann Conrad Sauer. The original work was radically converted in 1894 by August Merklin. He replaced the Positiv with a Schwellwerk with a cone chest, installed a free-standing console and also changed the disposition of the Hauptwerk. In the years 1962-1964 the organ was reconstructed to the condition of 1787 by Ernest Muhleisen.
- In September 2022, a restoration was started by Andreas Schiegnitz. The aim is to bring the whole instrument more in line with Silbermann's original concept, and to also adapt the material added in 1962-1964 according to current visions.
