- The Sint Audomarus church in Booitshoeke was built before 1600. The building was expanded in 1690 and 1723. The parish was merged with Avekapelle in 1807. In 1846 it became an independent parish again. An organ was also built at that time, by Charles Louis Van Houtte. The instrument was dedicated in 1847. Van Houtte used older materials during the construction. The organ has no pedal. In 1909 a revision was carried out by Frederick Loncke.
- In 1917 the church building was damaged by shells. The organ was restored in 1924 by Jules Anneessens. The building was also damaged in World War II. In 1945 the company Loncke repaired the organ. A wind motor was not installed until 1965, also by Loncke.
- In the years 1983-1984 the organ was restored by Etienne De Munck. The registers Clairon and Kromhoorn had disappeared, these have been reconstructed by De Munck. A new wind motor has also been installed. Gabriël Loncke was consultant.
