Gebaut von: Förster & Nicolaus (1904) - Opus 105
In 1614 Georg Wagner built a new organ for the Markuskirche in Butzbach. The beautiful instrument was placed on a rood screen in the choir of the church. It was moved to the west side of the church in 1904, and a completely new interior was also installed by Förster & Nikolaus. The old front pipes remained non-speaking in the front. In 1990, the Metzler company completed a new and better suited instrument in the old cases. The front pipes from 1614 have been reconnected. Because the organ from 1904 was a good instrument in itself and was also in good condition, it was decided to place it in the choir of the church. This work was carried out by Förster & Nikolaus. It was completed in 1995. The organ has a non-speaking front with zinc pipes from Nieder-Weisel.
