Built by: Oskar Metzler & Söhne (1990) - opus 564
The organ contains older material: Organ cased and prospect pipes from 1614 by Georg Heinrich Wagner
In 1614 Georg Wagner built a new organ for the Markuskirche in Butzbach. The beautiful instrument was placed on a rood screen in the choir of the church. It was moved to the west side of the church in 1904, and a completely new interior was also installed by Förster & Nikolaus. The old front pipes remained non-speaking in the front. In 1990, the Metzler company completed a new and better suited instrument in the old cases. The front pipes from 1614 have been reconnected. Because the organ from 1904 was a good instrument in itself and was also in good condition, it was decided to place it in the choir of the church.
