Built by: Karl Schuke (1968) - opus 223

  • The beautiful Grunewaldkirche was built in 1901/1902. The Sauer company completed the first organ in the church in 1904. This instrument was replaced in the 1930s by a new organ from the same company with two positives. Under the direction of Wolfgang Reimann, the organ had been given a stoplist according to the ideas of the Orgelbewegung. However, this organ was lost in the Second World War.
  • After the reconstruction of the church, a new large organ from the company Karl Schuke was dedicated in 1968. The specification was designed by Gottfried Grothes. In 1947, the Schuke firm also placed an organ with eleven stops in the Gemeindezentrum of the church at Furtwänglerstraße 5. This organ was sold in the late 1980s to raise money for an overhaul of the large organ in the church.
