The organ in the Saint Nicholas Church in Aaigem was built in 1819 by Pierre Charles Van Peteghem, the eldest brother, together with his younger brother Lambert-Corneille. In 1875 Evarist Lovaert from Ghent renewed the bellows. In 1938 the organ was cleaned by Jules Anneessens, but he also modified some stops. Around 1990 the organ was in unplayable condition. In 2010 Joris Potvlieghe was commissioned to restore the organ. The instrument has been returned to its original state. The work was completed in 2013.
