1958 E.F. Walcker & Cie.3700 new organ
1998 Alexander Schuke  restoration

  • The Walcker company built a new main organ for the Reinoldi-Kirche in Dortmund in 1957/1958. On completion it was one of the largest organs in West Germany. Construction consultants included the church's organist, Gerard Bunk, and Mr. R. Lorf. On May 18, 1958 the organ was inaugurated with a concert by Gerard Bunk.
  • In the years 1996-1998 the organ was restored by the firm Alexander Schuke. A new console was installed with a setzer installation. However, there have been plans for the construction of an entirely new organ since 2007. These plans were made definitive in 2014. The Walcker organ has been dismantled in 2018-2019. Some 30 ranks were reused in the new organ, constructed by Mühleisen in 2019-2021.
