- Het orgel van de Auferstehungskirche te Leipzig-Möckern is gebouwd in 1766 door Johann Schweinefleisch voor de Reformierte Kirche aan het Thomaskirchehof te Leipzig. Het had bij de bouw 25 stemmen, verdeeld over twee manualen en pedaal. Het instrument werd in 1841 gewijzigd door Johann Gottlob Mende en in de jaren 1870-1873 omgebouwd door Carl Bernecker. Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy was lid van deze kerkgemeente. Hij bespeelde het orgel in 1841.
- Op 10 november 1901 werd in Möckern een kerkgebouw in gebruik genomen. Voor deze kerk kocht men het Schweinefleisch-orgel, dat overbodig was geworden in verband met sluiting van de Reformierte Kirche. Het werd overgeplaatst door Gottfried Hildebrand. In 1921 kreeg het kerkgebouw de naam Auferstehungskirche. Het orgel is in de loop van de tijd ingrijpend gewijzigd. De firma Schüßler voerde in 1984 een restauratie uit, met als uitgangspunt de oorspronkelijke situatie van 1766. In 2004 voerde de firma Groß opnieuw restauratiewerkzaamheden uit.
