• In 1960-1961, a new organ was built for the Stadtkirche in Bayreuth by the company Steinmeyer. The instrument, baptised 'Dreifaltigkeitsorgel', has four manuals and originally sixty stops. Consultants during the work were Friedrich Högner, Günter Lamprecht and Viktor Lukas. On September 17, 1961, the instrument was dedicated.
  
• A restoration was carried out in 1995 by the company Sandtner Orgelbau. They corrected the voicing of the instrument where necesarry. In 2014, the organ was restored and enlarged to seventy stops by the company Vleugels Orgelmanufactur.
