Eind 1949 leverde de firma Aeolinan-Skinner een nieuw orgel op voor de Symphony Hall in Boston. Bij de bouw werd een twintigtal registers overgenomen uit het vorige orgel, een werkstuk van de firma Hutchings. Het orgel werd in gebruik genomen met een concert door Edward Power Biggs in samenwerking met een orkest onder leiding van Charles Munch.
