In 1971 the Weigle company built a new four-manual organ for the Stadtkirche in Nagold. During construction, pipework was taken from the old organ, built in 1951 and 1961. The fourth manual is connected to the choir organ, which can be played from the main console.
The organ was restored by Tilman Trefz in 2011-2012. Trefz changed the disposition, using pipework from 1874 by Friedrich Weigle, which had been preserved in the attic of the church. The connection with the choir organ from the fourth manual was maintained. The Hauptwerk and Pedal of the main organ can also be played from the choir organ.
